Fifteen people were killed and 16 injured in a collision in East Java, western Indonesia.
"The accident occurred in Mojokert district of the province when a bus collided with a roadside advertising pole, killing 15 people and injuring 16 others," Xinhua quoted the chief of operations for the provincial search and rescue office as saying today.
Initial reports indicated that the cause of the accident was excessive speed and lack of attention of the truck driver.
