In Moosburg, a 15-year-old gave himself a chase with the police and caused damage in the six-figure range.

Moosburg – A police chase ensued in the morning hours of Saturday (May 14) when a 15-year-old man was in a BMW.

A young man had been reported to the police shortly beforehand, who was driving a white 4-series BMW without a driver's license in the area of ​​responsibility of the Moosburg police station.

As the police reported in a press release, the crew of a patrol car then located the suspicious vehicle around 2.30 a.m. near the Moosburg Aquapark.

However, "when trying to subject the driver to a traffic check and to check his fitness to drive, he ignored the instructions of the police officers and drove away at high speed in order to evade the police check accompanied by another passenger".

The young man then drove through Moosburg and did not observe any traffic regulations.

According to the police, he drove into Erzgebirgsstraße via the extension of Böhmerwaldstraße, although this section of the traffic area is only open to pedestrians and is therefore structurally equipped with a central bollard.

When driving over the steel bollard, the 15-year-old lost control of the BMW and then threw himself against a total of four vehicles parked on the edge of the Erzgebirge road.

They were damaged as a result.

"Without taking care of the damage caused, the 15-year-old driver immediately continued his escape in the vehicle," the police continue.

He then braked on Erzgebirgstrasse for no known reason, which is why the patrol car behind him crashed into the trunk of the BMW.

The 15-year-old, his 17-year-old passenger and the police officer at the wheel were only slightly injured as a result of the collision, while another police officer and her passenger suffered more serious injuries.

She suffered several bruises and a broken bone as a result of the impact and initially remained in hospital.

According to initial estimates, the accident damage is around 200,000 euros.

"In addition to the heavily damaged concrete wall and the four parked vehicles mentioned, both the 15-year-old's BMW and the police vehicle were totaled," the officials explain.

The traffic police in Freising began investigating during the night.

Among other things, it is the task of the police investigation to clarify the circumstances under which the young person got to the car.
