The Peissenberger Health Week has started: the presentation platform started its third edition on Friday afternoon with a big day of action in the Rigi Center.

Until May 21st there is a wide range of workshops, lectures, taster courses and hands-on activities.

Peißenberg – The blue light organizations, for example, presented themselves in the parking lot of the Rigi Center.

Among other things, the Peißenberg fire brigade provided extinguishing training, and the Johanniter had their drone thermal imaging camera in their luggage, which is used to search for missing people.

In the Rigi Center there were information stands from the hospital GmbH, from the Ohrwerk or measurements of the spine statics in the Bobaz medical supply store.

Mayor Frank Zellner meanwhile obtained information at the booth of the PRO therapy center – not without ulterior motives.

Zellner recently had an operation on his foot.

The head of the town hall is enthusiastic about the health week: "It offers a great range - and nothing is more important than health."

Mayor has to watch his weight

It was "really great" what a wide spectrum there would be in Peißenberg.

Zellner, who is actually slim, stopped by the stand where there were nutrition tips: "My wife says I eat too much sugar." But there is another reason for Zellner's asceticism: As a glider pilot, he is not allowed to exceed the maximum payload weight .

"We have an old plane in Paterzell with a weight limit of 90 kilos," says Zellner.

Coordinator has knee pain

The St. Ulrich pharmacy, meanwhile, brought new impetus to the immune system of its customers.

For pharmacist Dr.

Philipp Kircher believes that health is "the greatest good" - especially in view of the fact that society is getting older.

The health week offers an easily accessible, low-threshold offer for those interested.

“It's nice that the event is taking place and that something is happening in town.

You have to show respect to Matthias Reichhart,” said Kircher, praising the Health Week coordinator.

Incidentally, together with the "Fitlife" sports studio, the St. Ulrich pharmacy is organizing the "1.

Peissenberger Health Run” (registration at trainer@fitlife-peissenberg.de).

Around 80 runners have already registered, including the handball inclusion group and professional triathletes.

"It will be a colorful mixed field of participants," says Kircher.

Although the running times are recorded, the focus should be on the joy of movement.

Only one person will not be able to tackle the five-kilometer loop on the Guggenberg - namely the coordinator of the health week: "I got knee pain while training for the run," says Matthias Reichhart and grins.
