The chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Abu Mazen, tonight (Monday) called Yahya Zabeidi, the brother of Daoud Zabeidi, and expressed his condolences on his death.
He praised the "family struggles from which wounded prisoners and heroic commanders emerged."
Daoud Zabeidi, the brother of terrorist Zakaria Zabeidi, died of his wounds yesterday at Rambam Hospital. He was treated in intensive care, until his death was determined this morning.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced: "The Palestinian Coordination and Liaison Offices have updated that Daoud Zabeidi, the brother of the commander of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Jenin, Zakaria Zabeidi, has died from his wounds."
The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades also confirmed the news.
Last Friday, Zabeidi was seriously injured during an exchange of fire with IDF forces during the siege of the house of wanted Mahmoud Dabai. Dabai was arrested by the IDF after long hours of gunfire.
