A 40-year-old cyclist from Dachau was seriously injured in a collision with an Opel.
The 21-year-old driver from Bergkirchen is now being investigated.
Bergkirchen – A cyclist was critically injured in a traffic accident on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, the cyclist collided head-on with a car.
The 40-year-old cyclist from Dachau was on the single-lane land consolidation path from Oberbachern towards Flacha.
A 24-year-old Opel driver from Bergkirchen came towards him from the opposite direction.
At a crest, the view of the road was severely restricted, so that both vehicles suddenly approached each other.
They couldn't dodge in time.
It cracked.

The cyclist was thrown against the front window of the Opel and then into the field.
He was left there badly injured.
After first aid by the emergency doctor, a rescue helicopter flew the Dachauer to the Augsburg Clinic.
The police carried out a breath alcohol test on the Opel driver, which showed a value of 0.46 per mille, which is why the police took blood from the 24-year-old.
He is now being investigated for dangerous road traffic and negligent bodily harm.
The bike was totally destroyed.
The damage to the car is estimated by the police at 5,000 euros.
