Agricultural varieties and research carried out in an exhibition of agricultural scientific research in Damascus

Damascus, SANA- The exhibition accompanying the 13th scientific conference held by the General Authority for Scientific Research was inaugurated today

Today, the exhibition accompanying the 13th scientific conference held by the General Commission for Scientific Agricultural Research was inaugurated at the Al-Assad Library in Damascus, which includes approved agricultural varieties and the most important researches implemented by the Commission.

The Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Engineer Mohamed Hassan Qatana, stressed during the opening the importance of presenting the research and findings of the researchers, which included all types of crops, the management of land and water resources, insects and diseases, the integrated management of diseases, the management of crops, fruit trees, livestock and some derived varieties, pointing to the expected results of these researches on land and what is reflected in the improvement of production and productivity.

For her part, Director General of the General Authority for Scientific Agricultural Research, Dr. Magda Mufleh, indicated that the exhibition includes 40 posters of Syrian researchers, noting that research has been conducted on many agricultural varieties, while others are currently being conducted on the silk worm and some predators and vital enemies that spread in nature, in addition to research conducted on Saffron and a mini lab for fertilization.
