A young woman was found dead in a park in downtown Béziers (Hérault), on the night of Saturday May 14 to Sunday May 15, said the Béziers prosecutor's office in a press release.
A judicial investigation will be opened by the prosecution this Monday, May 16 at the end of the day.
The departmental directorate of public security of Hérault and the territorial directorate of the judicial police (DTPJ) of Montpellier are in charge of the investigation.

On the night of May 14 and 15, 2022, a man declaring that he used to sleep in the Poets Park in the city center of Béziers, alerted the police station of the city, claiming to have witnessed the attack on 'a woman
,' says Béziers prosecutor Raphaël Balland.

When they arrived at the scene, the police discovered a young woman, lying on the ground, showing signs of violence and who, according to the identification elements found on her, could be domiciled in Béziers and aged 32.
His death was declared despite the intervention of the emergency

Many investigations are underway to try to find out the circumstances of this death, in particular the custody of three men who may have a link with these facts
