A tire pump with freshly pressed Scheppacher village air: According to the sign, a shop offers this for self-service - for an incredible zero euro.
Jettingen-Scheppach - Again and again there is talk of healthy village air.
Far away from the smog of the big city, which hangs over the streets like a solid, stuffy cloud, especially in the summer heat.
The air from the country should be fresh and wholesome.
A shop in Jettingen-Scheppach, a village not far from Augsburg, offers exactly this air: "Freshly squeezed" and at a bargain price of zero euros.

The sign from the district of Günzburg is of course to be understood with a wink.
100 grams of "freshly squeezed Scheppacher village air" are available for self-service for zero euros.
If you need help, you should contact the store, they say.
The offer appears to be a tire pump, which looks like it is for a bicycle and/or car.
You can access it, writes a user under the post posted by notesofgermany on Instagram.
Another user points out that there is actually a company called Scheppach that builds compressors, among other things.

Another user comments that the offer is a “extortionate price” – meant ironically, of course, given the price of zero euros.
However, it is not completely absurd that air costs something;
In dystopian stories, for example, it is a theme that comes up again and again that basic necessities of life such as water and air cost something.
And in many different health resorts, including Bavaria, there are mandatory visitor's taxes or health resort contributions.
In Jettingen-Scheppach, however, things have not gotten that far - especially since the air offered here is probably not intended for deep breathing.
