Because around 50 fans prevented the rescue service from supplying supplies, more than 15 patrols and a special police unit moved in to secure the area.

After treatment on site, the athlete was transported to a nearby hospital.

There, too, disturbing fans gathered again, who had to be calmed down by the police.

It was initially unclear whether the delayed rescue measures were responsible for the later death of the 38-year-old.

First report from May 15:

Garching – A 38-year-old was apparently hit hard on the head when there were several kickboxing fights in the community center on Saturday evening, including the middleweight world title.

The athlete from the Munich district fell to the ground and lost consciousness.
