Sad news from East Hesse: In Fulda, a child falls out of a multi-storey house and dies.
The background is still completely unclear.
Update from Monday, May 16, 1:42 p.m .:
After the fatal fall of a 13-year-old from an apartment building in Fulda, East Hesse, the child’s body is to be autopsied on Wednesday (May 18).
This was announced by the Fulda public prosecutor on Monday (May 16) to the dpa.
A spokeswoman said it was still unclear whether it was an accident, a suicide or a criminal offence.
All three scenarios are still in the room.
The investigators therefore have no further information on possible backgrounds.
The autopsy is now to determine the exact cause of death of the child.
On Saturday evening (May 14), alerted police forces found the seriously injured 13-year-old in front of a house in Gallasiniring in Fulda, who later died in hospital.
The boy is said to have fallen out of a window on the third floor of the building, as reported by hna.de.

Fulda – A 13-year-old died after falling from an apartment building in Fulda in East Hesse.
The boy is said to have fallen from the third floor of the building on Saturday evening (May 14), as the police and prosecutors announced on Sunday (May 15) on the current status of the investigation.
At around 10:30 p.m., a witness alerted the police and reported that a child had fallen out of a window in the Gallasiniring in Fulda.
When the first emergency services arrived on site, they found the seriously injured 13-year-old in front of the house.
Despite immediate medical care, the boy died a short time later in a hospital.

According to the investigative authorities in Fulda, it is “still completely unclear” how and why the 13-year-old fell out of the apartment building.
The public prosecutor's office and the criminal police examine whether it could be an accident, a suicide or a criminal offence.
The first test results are not expected until Monday (May 15).
It is the second case this week in which one or more children have died in Hesse.
It was not until Wednesday morning (May 11) that passers-by found a seriously injured boy on the sidewalk in Hanau in south-east Hesse.
The child later died in hospital as well.
Here, however, everything points to a crime.
The sister of the Hanau child is also dead. The father of the two has since been arrested.
