Dietramszell – An 83-year-old driver died in a serious collision between two vehicles in Dietramszell on Friday afternoon (May 13).

An 83-year-old car driver from Dietramszell drove the K TÖL 11 coming from Lochen in a southwesterly direction on Friday afternoon (May 13), the police said.

At the junction with state road 2368, the senior citizen wanted to turn left in her Ford car in the direction of Dietramszell.

The Dietramszellerin overlooked a VW car that was approaching from the left on the priority road.

The VW was driven by a 51-year-old Eglinger.

The woman from Egling could no longer prevent a collision and crashed the front of her car into the left side of the Ford car. The suspected cause of the accident succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

Fortunately, the 51-year-old and two other inmates were only slightly injured and taken to nearby hospitals, reports the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South.

Under the direction of the Munich II Public Prosecutor's Office, the Geretsried Police Inspectorate is now reconstructing the exact course of the accident with the support of an expert.

State highway 2368 was closed for several hours while the accident was being recorded.

The material damage to both cars involved amounts to around 35,000 euros, according to police chief Madeleine Willibald from the Geretsried police inspection.

Two emergency doctors, six rescue vehicles, a rescue helicopter, the volunteer fire brigades from Dietramzell, Otterfing and Linden with a total of 53 men and two patrol car crews from the Geretsried police station were on duty.
