It's a miracle that nothing more happened: a 25-year-old was drunk and without a driver's license in the Ammertal.
He then lost control of the vehicle.
Only the 22-year-old companion sustained minor injuries.
Oberammergau
– It was on the roof, with the water rippling next to it.
A car fell three and a half meters deep into the creek bed of the Oberammergau Laine around midnight on Monday.
A 22-year-old local suffered minor injuries to her leg, and the car was a total loss of around 3,000 euros.
For those involved, the incident will have an aftermath.
The accident happened on the Himmelreich road in the direction of Wellenberg.
However, the young woman's car was driven by her friend, a 25-year-old local man.
Another person was in the car. In a left turn, the driver lost control of the car, came off the road to the right and crashed into a traffic sign and finally landed in the creek bed.
The Oberammergau fire brigade went to the scene with 16 emergency services and set up an oil boom.
The local police recorded the accident.
The officers noticed the smell of alcohol in the 25-year-old.
The test result: about 0.8 per thousand.
The man also did not have a valid driver's license.
A blood test was arranged and criminal proceedings were initiated for endangering road traffic as a result of alcohol and for driving without a license.
The woman is also under investigation.
She has to answer for allowing her friend to drive without a license.
