Ganz's warning: "Jewish state - between Gedera and Hadera" | Israel today

2022-05-16T09:08:59.816Z

The loss of land in the Negev and the Galilee worries the government • In closed talks, the defense minister interpreted a horror scenario and claimed: "The future of the state is worrying" • Ganz responds: "If we do not invest in the Galilee and the Negev, we will accept the partition agreement"

The Palestinian flag marches, crime in Arab society and also the demographic takeover in the north and south have already risen to the public agenda, and the Minister of Defense of the State of Israel has an apocalyptic prediction regarding the future of the Jewish state.

In the closed part of a meeting of the Blue and White faction last week, Defense Minister Bnei Gantz read a viral WhatsApp message that swept the country, including threats by unknown Arab elements to take over the State of Israel.

Gantz did not have good news, on the contrary.

According to him, the authors of the message were right, and the future of the Jewish state may end "between Gedera and Hadera," according to him.

Ganz read the message, which read: "Keep cursing, you have no chance against Allah. Slowly we are biting you in the country. We have an area in the Negev the size of Gush Dan that is full of tins with small Bedouin children. What will you do? This is actual Palestinian territory, and as soon as it comes One tractor - we will use left-wing organizations such as Peace Now and B'Tselem, which will turn to the real ruler of the country (the High Court) to issue a stop order.

"We will send children and young people to throw stones and fortify the place until you run away like mice from the area."

Ganz continued to read from the announcement: "The Galilee with the help of Allah is also ours soon. We buy from the dunam administration for NIS 50,000 while the Jew pays NIS 1,150,000. Already today we are 85% of the Galilee population and are taking over quickly, building houses in every corner without permits. Why bother with us? The Jews who live in the Galilee - everyone is fleeing to the center of the country, why do they suffer from harassment, violence on the roads, protection, gunfire, theft and robbery? "

He also read from the announcement: "The government tells you that the Galilee and the Negev are Jewish, I actually tell you this is Palestinian territory. Every new business in the Negev pays us protection tax, every neighborhood that is established will not be established without paying protection fees."

Although Ganz understood that this was a viral message that it was not clear who wrote it, the things he said were worrying.

According to him, the writers of the message are not wrong.

"This is not far from reality. I estimate that in a few years we will be in a situation where the Jewish state will be between Gedera and Hadera. We are a few years away from that," he claimed.

On behalf of Ganz, it was stated: "Without going into what was said in the closed yeshiva, the defense minister spoke many times about looking at Israel with a vision of decades ahead, and establishing the Authority of the Century, so that the State of Israel prepares for half the population to live in the Negev and Galilee.

"It is of paramount importance in maintaining law and order in the south and the north, providing equal treatment and developing all populations in employment centers, in improving infrastructure, education and health."

Tensions in government

Meanwhile, during a cabinet meeting, Ganz accused Bennett of not giving enough credit to ministers.

Ganz resented the fact that, according to him, most of the statement made by Bennett at the opening of the meeting dealt with security matters, and despite this, the prime minister did not mention him in his remarks.

Bennett maintained restraint and claimed that he actually used to pardon his ministers.

"A lot of people have credit for the work of the government, but in front of the cameras you only talked about 'me and me and me.'"

The defense minister said, "I'm in the room and you treat me like I'm the welfare minister. You should have reminded me," he claimed.

In response to this statement, the Minister of Welfare, Meir Cohen (Yesh Atid), said: "It is boiling. Anyone who belittles the position of Minister of Welfare seems to belittle the citizens of Israel."

Relations between Gantz and Bennett have been tense since the government was formed.

Ganz sees himself as the one who should have headed the government, and the political system says that he is frustrated and often scatter hints that he is "not in anyone's pocket."

Throughout the government's tenure, there have been occasional speculations that Gantz may overthrow, but a blue-and-white chairman knows that his electorate will find it difficult to forgive him for that.
