The residents of the social documentary "Hartz und Herzen" are very popular with viewers throughout Germany.

In the TV show, everything usually revolves around the financial worries of the residents of the Benz barracks, the stress of office and neighborly cohesion.

The self-employed caretaker Michael supports the participants of the RTLZWEI show with advice and action.

"Hartz and cordial" in Mannheim: Michael is a self-employed caretaker

Barrack caretaker Michael is usually drawn to places where his support is urgently needed.

In order to help people, the way to the Benz barracks is not too far for him.

About 6 years ago, Michael started his own caretaker service.

With his white mini van, Michael has already organized one or the other kitchen for the "Hartz und Herzen" participants - and even had trouble with Elvis because of it.

In an interview with the YouTuber "MM One", the barracks caretaker reveals how it came about that Michael became self-employed: "A friend said: Take a look at it, as a caretaker".

The job seemed perfect for him, since the man from Mannheim claims: "I'm not too bad for any work".

Michael often takes care of numerous activities in the background, making everyday life easier for owners and tenants alike.

Various maintenance and repair tasks as well as care of the outdoor area: Michael was immediately enthusiastic about the job.

"I looked at it and liked it," Michael continued in the interview.

After Michael got to know the professional field, his friend said goodbye to the caretaker activities.

The helper with a heart then became self-employed: "Then I took over the objects and that's how I got my reputation as a caretaker here in Mannheim, almost by accident," reveals Michael on social media.

Michael has been working as a caretaker for around 6 years.

And he wasn't only able to make a difference in the Benz barracks.

When the flood disaster shook the whole of Germany in July 2021, the "Hartz und cordial" caretaker traveled to the flood area around 200 kilometers away as a helper to provide local people with advice and support.

A heart project that still occupies him.

Michael works in his dream job: "It's a lot of fun for me and I've also met a lot of nice people through it," continued the "Hartz und cordial" participant.

Michael can be seen more often on the TV show "Hartz und cordial - day by day Benz barracks", since the residents do not hesitate to do manual work and ask the Mannheimer for help.

With so many objects to manage in one's job, it can be stressful at times.

All the more surprising: Michael has no other employees, but works alone.

"Sometimes I get a little help when the stairwell has to be cleaned [...] but I have everything under control and my customers are very satisfied," says Michael.

Now Hartz and warmly” participant Michael would like to welcome refugees from the Ukraine to Mannheim and ensure that they feel comfortable in the square city with leisure activities.
