Hitchhikers, do not drink from the bounce Israel today

2022-05-16T10:32:37.765Z

The phenomenon of renting apartments "for as much as possible" and the attempt to "steal" apartments under the nose took the editor of the real estate section today out of her serenity.

The real estate market is a jungle. Apartment prices are raging unconsciously, an astronomical rise of 20 percent has been recorded in areas of demand in just one year, and also in peripheral areas prices have risen by 10% or more in this time period.

In this chaotic reality, which produces despair among young families, for whom the dream of an apartment is increasingly becoming a dream in aspemia - the rental market is not encouraging, to say the least.

In just one year, rental prices soared by NIS 1,000 and more, while the cost of living index, needless to say, is only rising.

The meteoric jump in rental prices has created a phenomenon of "preserving the existing" - young couples and families, even those who have thought about improving housing, cling to what is there and avoid moving house.

This phenomenon has led to a particularly low supply of apartments for rent, more than in the past - and as a result to the birth of "begging ads" in apartment search groups by young people and the fact that dozens of potential tenants are competing for each apartment.

And in the jungle, as in the jungle, the strong survive.

Even if you need to pull out nails.

An incident that happened: My husband and I were about to sign a lease.

The details have already been agreed, understandings have been reached, and all that was left was to meet and sign the contract.

In our meeting with the landlord, who turned out to our delight to be a decent and honest man, he shared with us a case which he said "never happened to him";

A Haitian guy who saw the apartment with his partner called him, and realizing he was on the verge of signing a contract - offered him a much higher price, just to thwart the deal.

The end, in this case, was good - the landlord politely declined and informed the couple to move forward with us as planned.

It should be noted that he told us about it on the day of signing the contract, so it could not be suspected that he said this for the purpose of haggling over the rent and raising its prestige in our eyes.

In another case, with other working souls, things could of course have unfolded quite differently.

Dear high-tech people, everyone knows that the reality in Israel today is unequal and far from it.

The gaps are widening, and no government step seems to be aimed at producing any regulation to overcome these gaps.

Please, do not let your hand over housing prices go beyond the chaos that already exists today, whether through the conduct of the "Turkish Bazaar" method or a shameful auction regarding the rental market, or whether in response to blatantly unreasonable price requirements for apartments to buy, which only fuels The housing prices.

There is no way to avoid the clichés: the ball is round, and the wheel is spinning.

It is well known that every decade on average an average crisis breaks out in the high-tech industry, and affluent young people with handsome salaries may find themselves in a depressing and frustrating unemployment market.

In that case, none of you would want to absorb "stealing apartments under your nose" -style behaviors, and yes, even if we live in an "urban jungle," literally.

The call from here is also for the landlords - do not give in to the phenomenon of the "multi-priced" and the girls sewed with tenants who agreed something with them - even if it was a few pennies in the pocket - within the wild real estate market in which we live, which produces immoral behaviors.

The reality in Israel is difficult as well, and the prices are ruthless.

Let's try, at least we, to be human towards each other.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
