A video of approximately 13 minutes was filmed that evening by a witness.
Extracts were broadcast by the newspaper Le Monde, denouncing “bad practices” by the police.

For its part, the city published a press release in order “to provide elements of clarification” concerning the facts, “recorded in several police reports, all converging.
“She invokes in particular an intervention motivated by the presence” of threatening individuals vis-à-vis the municipal police, having in their hands glass bottles, cobblestones, metal plate and torn signaling objects.
According to the reports, several objects were thrown "in the direction of the police force, including a cobblestone, without managing to hit them."
