Now the owner is being sought.

- Apparently, the Ebersberg police station has an emergency supply of greenery - or has a good connection to the garden center opposite.

Either way, the officials were able to handle the tasting of a rare found animal: According to a message from Monday morning, two attentive citizens had already discovered a free-roaming turtle in Ebersberg's Abt-Williram-Straße on Sunday.

They then took them to the police station in the county seat.
The officers on duty there took the animal, which apparently escaped its owner, temporarily into custody - and took good care of it.
"The tortoise was provided with plenty of lettuce," the officials report.
The animal was then handed over to the professionals from the Munich reptile sanctuary on Kaulbachstrasse.
Owner urgently wanted: police are asking for information
Now the police are looking for the owner of the abandoned animal: “Does anyone miss this turtle or can provide information about its owner?
Then please contact the Ebersberg Police Inspectorate on 08092-82680.”
