The Center for Food Safety stated that Parknshop has imported the frozen shrimp, and has voluntarily removed the affected batch of products from the shelves and stopped selling them, and started recalling them.

A spokesman for the center said that it was informed that the Macao Food Safety Department recently issued an announcement that a sample of the inner packaging of frozen shrimp imported from Indonesia was detected with the new coronavirus.
The CFS contacted the Macau authorities and local importers to follow up. Initial investigation found that Parknshop Supermarket (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. had imported the affected batch of products.
For the sake of prudence, PARKnSHOP has taken the initiative to remove the affected batches from the shelves and stop selling them, and has started recycling. Customers can call the importer hotline 2606 8658 during office hours for inquiries.
The CFS also pointed out that it has dispatched staff to inspect the importer's warehouse in Sheung Shui, and has sealed the relevant batch of frozen shrimp, and will arrange for all of them to be destroyed.

The spokesman said that the new coronavirus is mainly transmitted through droplets and cannot multiply in food or food packaging.
