Landsberg – Buying, building, renovating or energetically converting a property – many people are concerned about these issues.

For them, the construction and real estate fair "My Home!" presented a wide range of information and advice.

Around 60 regional and national exhibitors set up their stands in the sports center's ice rink over the weekend, including construction companies and builders' merchants, real estate agents and renovation experts, craft businesses and financiers.

An extensive exposé wall provided information about current objects on the real estate market.

"There are still many offers," says trade fair organizer Angelina Däumler.

In view of rising prices and skyrocketing construction costs, there is a trend towards preserving existing buildings - such as inherited houses - which would then be modernized.

Energy supply is a key issue here.

The stand of the Landsberg Energy Agency (LENA) was very popular - even if its chairman Berthold Lesch regrets "that it took February 24th" to push the move away from fossil fuels to the top of the agenda .

Since the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine has jeopardized the security of supply of oil and gas and the costs of both have risen sharply, homeowners are now increasingly interested in photovoltaics, heat pumps and electromobility.

Lesch knows that providers of PV systems are busy for months.

"The boom is here and it will continue."

The construction industry is affected by delivery bottlenecks - including in the areas of roof tiles and tiles.

Price increases also have a massive impact here, especially in the cheap segment.

"Gas is required for tile production," explains Thomas Alt from Landsberger Baustoffhandel Renner.

In the low-price segment, one observes that prices are sometimes doubling.

Nevertheless, there is extremely high demand.

As a precaution, many building owners would already buy materials now, even if they were only needed in the autumn.

At the Windacher Holzbau Fichtl GmbH there is no need to worry about a shortage of the raw material wood for the time being.

"We took precautions and filled the warehouse when we could," reports sales representative Sonja Neuerer.

Many interested parties inquired about the possibilities of timber construction during the trade fair.

This involved new buildings as well as refurbishments and additions to existing buildings.
