A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday on the B85 in Bavaria.
Any help came too late for a 37-year-old man.
Neudrossenfeld – A 37-year-old driver died in a head-on collision with a timber truck in the Kulmbach district.
The vehicles collided with considerable force, the man was killed immediately, the police said.

The 37-year-old was therefore on Monday afternoon on the federal highway 85 near Neudrossenfeld on the oncoming lane.
The reason for this was initially unclear.
The 52-year-old truck driver was also seriously injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital.
According to the spokesman for the Kulmbach fire brigade, there was an "extreme backlog".
It was not the first accident at this point, the spokesman
told News5.
Numerous emergency services are deployed.
The B85 was blocked in both directions.
According to the police, the work should continue until Tuesday night.
The salvage is difficult because logs have to be reloaded.
