The rally will return after a three-year hiatus, the New York Jewish Community Public Relations Council announced.

After a three-year hiatus following the Corona crisis, the traditional support march on Israel returns to New York, the New York Jewish Community Council (JCRC-NY), which is organizing the event, announced.

The parade, which will take place on Sunday, May 22, on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, is considered the largest demonstration of support in Israel and has been held once a year since 1964.

The parade will be held this year under the slogan "We are all together", in the shadow of the rise of anti-Semitism in New York and the terrorist events in Israel.

According to estimates and past experience, tens of thousands of people will participate.

The Israeli government was represented at the event by four ministers: Defense Minister Bnei Gantz, Diaspora Minister Nachman Shai, Housing Minister Zeev Elkin and Aliyah and Absorption Minister Pnina Temano-Sheta.

Right-wing and left-wing MKs, including Ofir Akunis (Likud) and Gilad Karib (Labor), will also participate in the event, along with Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Ardan and Consul General in New York Assaf Zamir.

Alongside the guests from Israel will march senior US officials including New York State Governor Cathy Hawkle, New York Mayor Eric Adams and Republicans and Democrats in Congress, including Gerald Nadler (Democrat) and Lee Zelden (Republican).

Rabbis, public figures and well-known artists will also participate, including Eliad Nahum and rappers Nissim Black and Kosha Diles, a son of Israeli parents born in the United States.

Gideon Taylor, CEO of JCRC-NY, said that "this year's parade will mark a unity between all streams of the Jewish people and between Israel and the Diaspora, and will be a crushing response to the rise of anti-Semitism in the US and the fight against terrorism in Israel. "With each other, to walk the streets and demonstrate our support for the State of Israel."
