The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the Kyiv regime's special forces detonated today a shell reinforced with about a ton of ammonium nitrate northwest of the town of Mazanovka in the Donetsk People's Republic in an attempt to accuse the Russian armed forces of using toxic substances.
As a result of the explosion, a toxic cloud was formed at an altitude of one kilometer and moved towards the city of Kramatorsk, said a statement of the ministry, carried by TASS.
The ministry indicated that on the 11th of this month, a similar provocation was carried out by the Ukrainian security forces in an area near Kharkov in order to accuse the Russian army of using chemical weapons, as a fertilizer tank containing ammonium nitrate was blown up.
The head of the Russian National Defense Center, Lieutenant-General Mikhail Mezintsev, announced on the 12th of this month that Ukrainian forces and Nazi formations blew up a tank loaded with fertilizers and most likely ammonium nitrate in Dolzhenkoy region of Kharkov province, accusing Russian forces of using chemical weapons.
