Russian forces accompanied the exit of about 300 Ukrainian militants from the area of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, south of the Donetsk People's Republic.
The website of Russia Today channel stated that the Russian forces transferred about 50 of the injured to the Novoazovsk region hospital, where they will be provided with the necessary medical assistance, while the rest of those who laid down their weapons were transported on buses towards the Yelinovka region in the Donetsk Republic.
The Azovstal plant is the last stronghold of the Ukrainian forces and elements of the Azov battalion in the city of Mariupol, Donetsk People's Republic.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced earlier that an agreement had been reached to open a humanitarian corridor from the Azovstal plant in Mariupol to treat wounded Ukrainian soldiers trapped there.
