Students studying social sciences are still mainly concerned about employment prospects, and this concern has plagued previous social science graduates for a long time.

One of the stereotypes of the general public about social science professionals is that they focus on theoretical training, lack practical skills, and are relatively useless.

Despite this, many students still aspire to study social sciences.

According to information from various institutions, the Department of Social Sciences of Chinese University, City University and Lingnan University is one of the five majors in the first round of applications for the 2022/23 Joint University Admissions Scheme (Jupas).

However, the social science degrees offered by major higher education institutions are quite limited.
