Judges will deal with the controversial Großweiler noise protection wall.

Because the developer does not want to tear down the wall.

Großweil

- It had already become apparent, now it is certain: the case of the noise protection wall, which surrounds a residential complex in the center of Großweil, will end up in court.

Exit: open.

The community of Großweil and the district office of Garmisch-Partenkirchen have been dealing with the matter since 2019. At that time, the waves in the village were high.

The bone of contention was the aforementioned noise protection wall (2.30 meters high, 130 meters long) at the "Sonnenhöfe".

These consist of two apartment buildings and four semi-detached houses.

The wall was not approved.

Therefore, the district authority stopped the work at the time.

Since then, things have been going back and forth about the wall, which was quickly given the catchy name Alcatraz, based on the American prison island.

lawsuit filed

Probably nobody will go to jail in this case.

But the developer SNI Immoreal has now filed a lawsuit against the removal order with the Munich Administrative Court.

This was announced by the commissioned law firm Mosler and Partners when asked by the daily newspaper.

The court confirmed that the lawsuit was received.

The district office had previously asked the developer to remove the construction.

The parties involved were initially given the opportunity to comment, the district office has already submitted the requested documents to the court.

The law firm stated that it had filed the lawsuit against the background that it was convinced that the removal order was unlawful.

It is believed that the client has a claim to the construction of this noise barrier.

And the wall will not only remain, but the current suspension of construction will be lifted so that the wall can be completed as planned.

The law firm intends to justify the lawsuit in the coming months.

Crux of the triangle

When the dispute broke out in 2019, it was already about visual triangles that could not be met.

Mayor Frank Bauer (free voters' community) also sees this as a sticking point - and road safety at risk.

"The visual triangle is not clear," emphasizes the head of the town hall.

Namely when tractors or cars with long bonnets come from Kleinweiler Straße.

These vehicles “have to feel their way forward.

Tractors don't see anything".

There is a mirror, but it is "not ideal".

The mayor affirmed that another solution had to be found.
