The Lod District Court accepted the police appeal today (Monday) and extended the detention of Ilana Sporta Haniya, who is suspected of sending two threatening letters that included a bullet and threatening text, to the prime minister's wife, Naftali Bennett, and his son.
As reported yesterday, Sporta Haniya asked to be released under house arrest, her detention was extended until the night and the police requested a stay of execution and filed an appeal.
Today the court ruled and extended her detention until next Wednesday.
Yesterday, investigators from the Rosh HaAyin police station detained a 51-year-old resident of Elad for questioning, on suspicion that the prime minister should be harmed.
