The head of an association that prepares teenagers for the army, a resident of Jerusalem, was arrested on suspicion of committing sexual offenses against girls, the police said today (Monday).
According to the suspicion, he committed the sexual offenses taking advantage of power relations and other offenses.
The arrest was made after an undercover investigation by the Jerusalem District Crime Unit.
Police said the suspect is in his 40s.
According to the suspicions, during the association's activities, which are held in large educational institutions in Jerusalem and the surrounding localities, the suspect made contacts with apprentices and took advantage of his closeness to them, while misrepresenting his military and professional past and thus gaining their trust.
He was arrested yesterday by detectives at his home and taken for questioning by the Merhav Zion police. The investigation continues.
