Police raided the homes of the suspects • The detention of nine of them was extended • During the raid, more than two kilograms of dangerous drugs were seized

The Israel Lachish District Police announced today (Monday) the end of an undercover operation, in which two undercover agents were activated in order to combat drug trafficking.

Police raided the home of 11 suspects.

According to the police statement, two undercover agents (police officers) acted among the drug dealers and indicted them in transactions.

The covert activity began at the beginning of the year by the Kiryat Gat station in the Lachish area, during which the two agents managed to infiltrate the 'security and verification mechanisms' of drug dealers in the south and center, and purchase dangerous drugs from them in various places and times, documenting transactions and gathering evidence against them.

Yesterday, at the end of the agents' operation, the police forces of the Lachish area, including the Kiryat Gat and Lachish police station raids, raided the homes of 11 suspects who were indicted by the agents, residents of the Lachish area, south and center, aged 20-30.

As part of the raid, the police seized more than two kilograms of cumulative dangerous drugs, four vehicles, over NIS 50,000 in cash and mobile devices that were seized.

All the suspects were arrested for questioning on suspicion of drug trafficking, and the detention of nine of them was already extended last night in the Magistrate's Court by 3-4 days.
