It's about a tour with a Bundeswehr helicopter to North Friesland to visit the troops.
She had taken her adult son with her, and then she went on vacation to Sylt.
The action would have made fewer headlines if the defense minister had cut a better figure on her actual issues, says SPIEGEL editor Konstantin von Hammerstein.
Together with colleagues, he researched what blunders and mistakes the minister had made in the past few months.
Among other things, it is about a weak work ethic, canceled appointments and a visit to the hairdresser.
