At least eight people were killed in floods and mudslides caused by torrential rains in the northeastern Indian state of Assam.
The Associated Press quoted Nazrin Ahmed, an administrative official in the Dima Hassaw district of Assam, as saying today that at least eight people were killed yesterday due to the floods. leading to it due to landslides and erosion of others.
