A man suspected of committing a robbery at a lottery booth was arrested today (Tuesday) in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem.
Fearing that this was an attack, many policemen were called to the scene and a civilian shot the suspect and hit him in the leg, injuring him moderately.
A video uploaded to the network shows many people rushing to the scene of the incident, when one of them was heard saying "I shot him," and another was seen approaching the scene with a brick, apparently with the intention of harming the suspect.
Another citizen was heard shouting "Shoot him in the head", thinking that the suspect is a terrorist who tried to carry out an attack.

The police investigation revealed that it was probably a criminal incident, during which a suspect, who is a Jew, arrived at the stand armed with a knife and planned to rob it.
Civilians who spotted him started shouting warning cries, and an armed citizen who was in the area shot at him and arrested him.
The suspect then seeks medical attention.
