Mindelheim – Two rear-end collisions occurred within a very short space of time on the A96 near Mindelheim yesterday, Monday morning.
The first was apparently caused by a person overtaking on the right, the second by unfavorable timing when sneezing.
The Autobahnmeisterei carried out cleaning work on the A96 near Mindelheim (direction Lindau) on Monday, for which the right lane was closed.
At around 8.10 a.m., two cars had correctly positioned themselves in the left lane - a third road user had not: He overtook on the right and cut in to the left at the last moment - and then suddenly had to brake hard because of the car in front of him.
The man behind him recognized this too late and jumped up.
Bitter then: The driver in the third of the three cars had to sneeze at that very moment and drove into the second car.
The police have initiated criminal investigations into negligent bodily harm against the overtaker and the second driver.
All three cars had to be towed, total damage: 25,000 euros.
Nobody got hurt.
