Chairman of Jewish Power will raise the law to the Ministerial Committee for Legislation • Ben Gvir, hopes the law will challenge the coalition in which Lieberman, who previously supported a similar law • He argued that: “The law is the order of morality, logic and time. The sentence will reduce the motivation to carry out terrorist attacks and prevent dreams of kidnapping deals "

The chairman of Jewish Power, MK Itamar Ben Gvir, will next Sunday submit to the Ministerial Committee for Legislation the Death Penalty Law for Terrorists.

Ben Gvir submitted the law together with MK Mai Golan, but despite this the proposal is expected to provoke controversy in the opposition as well. "With this law, there are senior party officials who will oppose or not want to support the law."

As mentioned, this is a bill that is expected to cross the opposition and examine its cohesion around the promotion of right-wing laws that were raised by their camp members, as in the case of Ben Gvir and Golan.

At the same time, Ben Gvir spoke with senior Likud officials and made it clear to them that he expects sweeping support for the law, which is also expected to challenge parts of the coalition.

As is well known, the chairman of Yisrael Beiteinu, Avigdor Lieberman, has previously demanded the promotion of the death penalty for terrorists, and his party has submitted a bill on the subject in the past.

The terrorists from the attack in Elad, would the death penalty stop them?

Ben Gvir's bill seeks to stipulate that a terrorist who murdered an Israeli citizen was sentenced to death.

That is, death using an electric chair.

The wording of the law stipulates that any person who causes the death of an Israeli citizen for racist motives, with a desire to harm the State of Israel and the restoration of the Jewish people in his country - is liable to death.

In addition, the law seeks to stipulate that it will not be possible to mitigate the punishment of a terrorist who has received the death penalty, in order to prevent the possibility of including terrorists sentenced to death in a terrorist release deal.

"After every terrorist incident, the heads of the defense establishment promise that 'the long arm of the State of Israel will come to terms with the murderers.'

Chairman of Jewish Power, Itamar Ben Gvir responded: "The death penalty for terrorists is an order of morality, reason and time.

There is no reason in the world that human scum that kill families and cut off lives will see the light of day, or be released in a deal to free terrorists.

This punishment will not only reduce the motivation to carry out terrorist attacks, but also prevent dreams of kidnapping deals.

In particular, in view of the all-inclusive policy in the Israeli prison, it is appropriate to enact such a punishment that will facilitate the possibility of carrying it out in a military court.

"In the face of the wave of terror in our streets and in the face of our enemies in the Middle East in general and in Israel in particular, there is no other way to deal with this issue - what is good for the United States is good for us as well."
