The move came to fruition after the incident yesterday at a right-wing faction meeting, in which Bennett sought to hold a factional vote on the reappointment of Matan Kahana to the post of minister of religions.
Silman refused to commit to supporting it and asked "not to talk about it now."
After refraining from committing, Bennett locked up the meeting, waited for her to come out and then proceeded to another meeting with Knesset members in the party.
Earlier, however, Silman told associates that she would vote against the reappointment of Kahana.
