Bennett calls Judea and Samaria "the West Bank" (Omar Miron, GPO)

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is expected to pay his first civilian visit to the West Bank today (Tuesday).

Among the destinations he plans to visit is the settlement of Elkana - where he is expected to encounter a demonstration by residents of Judea and Samaria.

An ad published by the groups "Protest the Red Line" and "Suddenly the People Rise" stated that at ten o'clock in the morning there would be a demonstration against the prime minister under the headline "Bennett, right - or home".

Protesters were asked to arrive with flags, whistles and signs.

The head of the Beit El Shai Alon council attacked Bennett, who will come to Elkana on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the settlement.

"What message are you bringing with you, Mr. Prime Minister, when you come to this visit? The abandonment of the settlers, the abandonment of the infrastructure, the actual establishment of the Palestinian state. Damage to generations for which you are fully responsible," he said.

"Did you come to make promises again? You would do well to start by explaining why what happened to the many promises made to us by the former Yesha Council director general, when he needed the votes in Beit El and Elkana before the last election," he continued.

"Only then may it be desirable again in the localities of Judea and Samaria."

On the other hand, the head of the Elkana local council, Assaf Minzer, welcomed the visit.

"Elkana is currently celebrating its 45th anniversary, and that is a good enough reason for the celebrations. We welcome and respect the request of Prime Minister Mr. Naftali Bennett to pay a state visit here these days, in order to honor the community of Elkana, its residents and founders, to whom the first seventeen families were invited. "They came to the land 45 years ago. Together we will celebrate 45 years of settlement and Zionism."

Bennett also encountered chants against him in a ceremony he held on Memorial Day for IDF casualties and hostilities on Mount Herzl. At the beginning of his speech, dozens of bereaved families burst out shouting and shouting at him, "You can, shut up.

Shame on you. "Other guests, however, tried to silence them and called out to them," Shut up. "In response to their calls, Bennett said," You are allowed to shout and you are allowed to be in pain.

I love you with great love.

I hear the pain. "After long minutes of chanting, Bennett began his speech.
