After their success in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia, the North Rhine-Westphalian CDU and the Greens have agreed to hold initial talks this Wednesday (2 p.m.) in Düsseldorf.
Both parties announced this on Tuesday evening.
At the invitation of the NRW-CDU, they were meeting "for initial talks about an assessment of the current political situation in North Rhine-Westphalia," wrote Bündnis 90/Die Grünen.
Düsseldorf - The meeting takes place in the building of the West German Chamber of Crafts in Düsseldorf.
Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst, parliamentary group leader Bodo Löttgen as well as Ina Scharrenbach, Nathanael Liminski and Serap Güler will take part in the appointment.
NRW top candidate Mona Neubaur, Felix Banaszak, Verena Schäffer, Josefine Paul and Raoul Roßbach are sitting at the table for the Greens.
After the constituent meeting of the new parliamentary group, Greens leader Neubaur had already declared that she had received and accepted an invitation from the CDU state leader and election winner Wüst.
However, the time and place were still open.

The aim of the first meeting must be an assessment of the current situation.
"We are ready to take on responsibility - even in difficult times," said Neubaur.
"If the SPD invites us, we will of course also talk to them."
In the state elections on Sunday, the Greens almost tripled their result to 18.2 percent (2017: 6.4) and took third place.
With more than 35 percent of the votes, the CDU emerged as the clear winner of the state elections.
