Eight people suspected of having transported cocaine from Guyana by ingesting eggs, to resell it in Le Mans, have been indicted and remanded in custody, the city prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday May 17.

The operation, which mobilized 150 gendarmes, is the second of this type carried out in two months in several sectors of Le Mans "
within the Guyanese and Surinamese communities, as well as in Guyana
", according to the prosecution.
The Sablons district, south-east of Le Mans, where a "
family clan
" suspected of being involved in this traffic resides is particularly concerned.
Fourteen people were arrested simultaneously and eight were referred, including one “
