This is the first case of intra-school transmission since the resumption of classes.

In addition, the authorities announced yesterday that two employees of a special school had tested positive, and five employees in the same office had to be quarantined. One of the employees also tested positive today, which is believed to be related to the fact that they had eaten meals without masks in the office.

Au Ka-wing, the chief physician of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health, said that a total of 20 cases were reported in schools today, involving 20 schools.

Au Ka-wing continued to point out that the two students knew each other. During the break, they took off their masks and ate together. They had face-to-face contact, which may have caused transmission.

However, other students in the same class were not listed as close contacts, Ou Jiarong explained, because other students wore masks and took adequate protection, and did not have face-to-face contact with the two patients, and their rapid test results yesterday and today were both Negative, so I believe that there is no outbreak in the classroom, but the school has been asked to disinfect and clean.
