In Alsace, around five kilometers from Europa-Park Rust, a huge holiday complex could soon be built.

Roland Mack provides the key clue.

Rust - Always bigger, always further, always faster: Europa-Park is constantly expanding its empire and constantly attracting fans with new attractions and announcements.

Now a trademark application by the Europa-Park group of companies is making people sit up and take notice: Mack Media & Brands GmbH & Co. KG has registered the term "Europa Valley" as a trademark with the German Patent and Trademark Office.

As fans suspect, "Europa Valley" is the name of a planned holiday resort in Alsace (France), around five kilometers from Europa-Park.

Europa-Park Managing Director Roland Mack had already spoken about a corresponding project in 2018.

Europa-Park: "Europa Valley" holiday village meets with approval from fans - "Certainly a good extension"

The plans that Mack had presented three years ago sounded gigantic: He spoke of a facility similar to that of Center Parcs, which is to be built in Alsace.

In addition, the Europa-Park boss explained at the time that the holiday resort should be connected to Germany's largest amusement park in Rust by cable car.

At the time, it was said that both visitors and employees should be able to reach the park quickly within a 15-minute drive.

In the meantime, however, Europa-Park has put plans for a cable car in Alsace on hold.

The resistance of nature conservationists, who saw the Tauberguss and Ile de Rhinau areas threatened by the cable car, was too great.

According to media reports, the holiday complex is still at the top of Europa-Park's planning list.

The trademark application for "Europa Valley" confirms this.

Thus, the trademark was registered in classes related to the operation of a campsite, the rental of holiday homes, services related to leisure activities and the booking of travel.

It is not yet known when construction of the holiday village could begin, but Europa-Park supporters are already talking about the project in fan forums.

"From a long-term perspective, it's definitely a good expansion for the park and a good idea," praises a user at

ep-board.de.

"The way it sounds now, I could imagine that it could become a kind of city where you can go on vacation and thus be separated from Rust for the time being." The forum also discussed whether the European Park in France is planning rides in addition to the resort.

"Initially, the focus seems to be on hotels and restaurants, including regional shopping offers," notes one user.

Europa-Park: Fans suspect that "Europa Valley" affects the number of visitors to the park

Another Europa Park expert is considering the possible effects of the “Europa Valley” on visitor numbers.

"If you want to continue to grow - maybe to ten million visitors a year - you will have to expand Europa-Park, need more parking spaces, etc.," he writes.

Another fan thinks ahead and suggests: "In Disney Land there are several parks in one place.

Disney World and such.

How about if Europa-Park implemented something similar?

You practically have a large amusement park, a water park, a hotel resort, a small town for a night out where you can eat out and party.

You could associate that with the hotels in particular.

Then there could be a zoo and a large camping resort with bungalows.

That way you would have everything in one place.

The user suggested “Europa-Park-Allee” as a name for this construct.

However, other fans commented on this idea as "utopian".

While the fans are still speculating about upcoming construction projects, Europa-Park is already growing more and more.

A “Restaurant of the Future”, which is unique in the world, will open before the end of this year.

The go-ahead for the construction of the new "Croatia" area has already been given.

It remains to be seen when Europa-Park will officially announce its plans for the Europa Valley.
