Tartous-Sana
Members of the Tartous Fire Brigade, in cooperation with the people of the region, put out a fire that broke out today in the village of Beit al-Jabal, southeast of Tartous city.
Colonel Samir Shamma, commander of the fire brigade in the governorate, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the fire that broke out in an area planted with olive trees and containing herbs was limited in space and was dealt with directly and quickly put out.
Shamma pointed out that the ease of roads recently built by the Directorate of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform greatly contributed to the speedy access to the area of the fire and putting it out without causing damage to the land or the olive trees there.
