The Langenpreising fire brigade celebrates its 150th birthday from May 25th to 29th.
The festival program includes live music, cabaret, parties and a big festival Sunday.
Now the beer tasting for the anniversary took place.
Langenpreising
– The most important drink of the festival comes as a classic export with 5.2 percent alcohol and 12.5 percent original wort, as master brewer Michael Reiter from the brewery of the same name in neighboring Wartenberg said.
He expressly did not want to brew a festival beer with a higher alcohol content: "Then you can drink a little more." When asked, he added, mostly aroma hops from the Hallertau were used, but also some from a small hop-growing area near Tettnang on Lake Constance.
Petition for nice weather and for "good luck and no accidents" at the festival
A fair-weather petition has already taken place, which included patron District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer and Pastor Gregor Bartkowski.
And the fire brigade will need nice weather: On Wednesday, May 25th, for the entry of the clubs, which starts at the village shop and ends with the beer tapping in the festival hall on Prisostraße including a home evening with the Strogentalern.
On Ascension Day, May 26th, people are hoping for good weather for the vintage car meeting with a morning pint from 10 a.m., as well as on the festival Sunday, May 29th, with a church service and a big parade.
For the events in the festival hall with the band DeSchoWieda on May 26th and with cabaret artist Christine Eixenberger on Saturday, May 28th, as well as for the entire festival, they asked for "good luck and no accidents" during the aforementioned plea to Holzhausen.
Also planned for Friday, May 27th, is the senior citizens' afternoon for invited guests and the flashover party with DJ Nightstyle from 9 p.m.
Fire brigade chairman Natalie Kienmüller-Stadler also wanted the beer tasting to be understood as a small thank you for everyone who has worked a lot so far and who will probably have even more work to do at the festival itself.
And so the host family Wernthaler from Gündlkofen gave a taste of their skills.
By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Erding newsletter.
