Former Brazilian president and favorite for the 2022 election, Lula da Silva, 76, is getting married on Wednesday, May 18, Lula's press secretary José Crispiniano told CNN.
The former president will marry sociologist Rosangela da Silva, also known as Janja, 55, in a ceremony attended by about 200 people.
Lula da Silva intends to return to the presidency of Brazil 4:29
The event will take place in São Paulo, although the exact place and time are being kept secret, Crispiniano said.
Lula and Janja have been in a relationship since 2017.
