This was announced by the ADAC.

Sales at petrol stations increased by more than a fifth (22.4 percent) compared to March 2021, as the State Statistics Office announced on Tuesday.
But that was only due to the sharp rise in petrol prices.
Adjusted sales at petrol stations fell by 10.4 percent.
After the Russian attack on Ukraine, petrol and diesel prices skyrocketed to more than two euros per liter.
Adjusted for inflation, according to the state office, sales at petrol stations were also significantly lower than in March 2020 and March 2019.
