The governor of the Russian Kursk region, Roman Starovit, confirmed today that the village of Alekseyevka in the area adjacent to the Ukrainian border was bombarded by the forces of the Kyiv regime with heavy caliber weapons.
"The attack resulted in damage to three residential houses and a school, in addition to a car," the Russian TASS news agency quoted Starovit as saying, noting that the Russian border guards responded immediately with counterfire and prevented the attack from continuing or causing casualties.
Last Wednesday, the Kursk region extended the state of maximum terror alert until May 25, after the region was subjected to several bombing attempts and attacks against checkpoints by Ukrainian forces.
