The vote count continued into the night and suffered delays • Currently the terrorist organization and its partners hold only 54 seats out of 128 representatives in parliament

Lebanon elections:

According to the results of the truth in the country's parliamentary elections, the terrorist organization Hezbollah and its partners in the Lebanese political system have failed to reach a majority and will have difficulty forming a coalition.

According to a Hezbollah camp news agency report, the Free Patriots received 62 seats in parliament while Lebanese forces, the Progressive Socialist Party and anti-government protest representatives received 50 seats.

In addition, several independent candidates entered the parliament whose affiliation is unclear.

Despite the loss of the majority, it is doubtful whether opponents of Hezbollah will be able to form a majority on their own to form a government that will lead to governmental reforms.

One possibility is that a joint government will be formed for the rival blocs.

In another case the governmental chaos in the country may continue when the transitional government holds the powers of government.

Three sources in the camp of Hezbollah and its allies told the Reuters news agency yesterday that they are expected to lose the majority in parliament.

Sources estimated that the camp would not receive more than 64 representatives from the 128 seats in parliament.

This is compared to the 71 seats in the previous elections in 2018.

The main story is the weakening of the stream of free patriots.

Apparently, the Christian party dropped from 18 seats to only 16.

Veteran Druze candidate Talal Arslan also lost his seat in parliament.

On the other hand, in the Shiite community, Hezbollah and Amal retained their power.

At the same time, the Christian Lebanese forces hostile to Hezbollah strengthened.

The party said yesterday that it had succeeded in increasing its power by five to 20 members of the Lebanese parliament.

The party's leader, Samir Jaja, even stated that he was interested in ousting Shiite parliamentary speaker Nabiya Berry from the Amal party.

Another trend was the splitting of the Sunni community whose parties ran in the elections without clear leadership.

This follows the resignation of the leader of the Al-Mustaqbal party, Saad Hariri, and calls for a boycott of the vote.

Meanwhile, the election recorded a particularly low turnout of 41%.

This is a significant decrease of about 9% in the turnout compared to the 2018 elections.

This figure reflects Lebanon's distrust of the corrupt political system.
