The farmers of Al-Hasakah Governorate began marketing their production from the areas that were planted with various types of summer vegetables in the local markets of the governorate.
The head of the Plant Production Department in the Directorate of Agriculture in Al-Hasakah, Engineer Jalal Bilal, told SANA reporter that the quantities that have been marketed to date amounted to 1274 tons, including various types of vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini and others, pointing out that the areas planted with summer vegetables by farmers amounted to 6,323 hectares distributed in various settlement areas. agricultural.
In turn, the Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Ali Khalif, stated that the prices of vegetables in the governorate's markets began to decline with the start of marketing the production of summer vegetables grown in the governorates of Hasaka and Deir ez-Zor.
The area planned for growing summer vegetables in Al-Hasakah for the current season is 4,177 hectares.
