Taufkirchen - Three days were celebrated.

It started with a disco, then a festive evening and finally the consecration of the flag.

The district administrator praised the Oberes Vilstal boys' association for this huge festival on the Fürmetz site on the B 15.

"Celebrate in Bavaria - Reloaded!" was the motto of the Oberes Vilstal boys' association.

There was a party for three days, with a full house and a great atmosphere for three days.

On Sunday, too, the boys stood their ground, although many of them had scarcely found time to sleep.

His voice slightly scratched, "da Danger", chairman Johann Vorbuchner, greeted the invited guests in the marquee in a good mood.

He thanked the Fürmetz family, who made the site available to them, and all the helpers.

And he recalled how the idea for a lads' club was born out of a booze mood at the folk festival and shortly afterwards the club was founded with 35 people.

He continued to develop even in Corona times and currently has 120 active and ten passive members from the catchment area from Hörgersdorf to Jettenstetten.

You've made new friends, even if you haven't officially gotten away much.

This festival is for all clubs, for the community and for something to stir again after a long time.

And there was a lot of movement.

Around 1600 guests came to the disco party on Friday and around 1200 to the beer festival with the band Tetrapack, explained press spokesman Tom Böhm from Kienraching.

20 hectoliters of beer were served on Saturday alone, and Friday was self-service and a bar.

Thanks to the good security concept with five professional and 22 of our own security forces, the festival was very quiet, as confirmed by the Dorfen police.

The flag delegation and the altar boys from their own ranks still had somewhat small eyes at the service with the blessing of the flag on Sunday morning and looked rather serious.

For this they were praised by Taufkirchen's Mayor Stefan Haberl for their magnificent festival.

He had been a member of the club for four weeks and thanked the boys for "finally feeling the joy of life again that we missed for two years".

He praised them for their lively, active club life and for maintaining traditions and customs: "Let it rip!

Here's to many more happy years to come."

Member of the District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer also gave them a "huge compliment" for having been so brave to put on such a festival.

For this he gave them “maximum points for celebrating”, as well as for blessing the flag and caring for the community.

He also presented the boys with 587 euros for the new flag, this funding is available for clubs that make a difference in the cultural sector.

Pastoral officer Toni Emehrer was happy that he was allowed to celebrate a flag blessing for the first time, and he had given it a lot of thought.

He was impressed by the fact that the boys had explained to him that they could only go somewhere else with a blessed flag.

“Blessing is something very precious and important,” he emphasized.

So that the flag also becomes a blessing, everything goes well and God takes care of you, because something can happen quickly if you have had a sip too much.

He also thought about their unusual slogan "Pure as gold, strong as ore is the heart of the Vilstal boys" and emphasized that a heart should also have a female and social side.
