NRW Greens: Will have the first talks with the CDU

After their success in the state elections, the North Rhine-Westphalian Greens want to have the first talks with the election winner, the CDU.
That's what her top candidate Mona Neubauer said on Tuesday after the inaugural meeting of the new parliamentary group.
The Greens had received and accepted the invitation from the CDU state leader and Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst.
Düsseldorf - You would now agree on a time and place for an initial meeting.
The aim of the first meeting must be an assessment of the current situation.
"We are ready to take on responsibility - even in difficult times," said Neubauer.
"If the SPD invites us, we will of course also talk to them."

A total of five representatives of the Greens are taking part in the talks with the CDU.
These include the state party leaders Neubauer and Felix Banaszak, the faction leaders Verena Schäffer and Josefine Paul and the political director Raoul Roßbach.
In the state elections on Sunday, the Greens almost tripled their result to 18.2 percent (2017: 6.4) and took third place.
