The steelworks in the conquered port city of Mariupol has become a symbol of resistance: a photo from the last Ukrainian bastion is now encouraging.

Mariupol - The Mariupol Steelworks is the last Ukrainian stronghold in the city, largely destroyed by Vladimir Putin's attacks.

The Azov steelworks symbolizes the will to defend the remaining Ukrainians.

The Ukrainian Dimitriy Kozatskiy shared a shot from inside the steelworks on Twitter.

Dimitriy Kozatskiy is apparently part of the Azov regiment, which continues to hold the position at the Azovstal plant - even if the fighters are fewer.

The Ukrainian keeps sharing pictures of the situation on social media.

According to his own statements, he is one of the remaining Ukrainian fighters who are holding out in the tunnel complex of the huge steel works and are refusing to capitulate despite ongoing Russian attacks.

Kozatskiy's symbolic photo encouraged many people on Twitter: "It's scary and beautiful at the same time," said one user.
