The savings requirements in Markt Schwaben are still strict.

So strict that the political community cannot raise a euro to grant the local BRK a subsidy to buy a car for the local helpers group.

Markt Schwaben – Very slowly the rust ate through: in several places;

including on one of the doors.

In addition, the problems with the gearbox did not get any smaller.

It is said that sometimes the ambulance could only drive at a maximum of 40 km/h.

In short: This year, on January 22nd, the clock finally ran out for a Mercedes Sprinter, which the BRK Markt Schwaben used for its on-site helper team (HvO) for almost ten long years.

The HvO team that goes out with fast and professional help to bridge the time in the event of an accident involving personal injury until the regular rescue service arrives.

Total economic loss after 17 years

In Markt Schwaben, the ambulance (KTW) served a good purpose.

From 2005 to 2013, this was part of the rescue service of another district association.

The Ebersberg district association then acquired the Sprinter in 2013 and made it available to the Markt Schwaben readiness service.

Since then, the vehicle has been in service for the Markt Schwaben standby service.

Up to the "economic total loss", as they say.

Without a vehicle but no quick help on site.

In any case, the district association did not leave the Swabians out in the rain, but made a replacement vehicle available to the friends in the north of the district: on loan, as the on-call manager Patrick Widfeld reports.

At the same time, the BRK Ebersberg decided to buy a BMW X 1 as a new HvO vehicle instead of the KTW, which had been discarded and had already been sold to a private inventor.

A car that is specially tailored to the needs of on-site helpers and has already proven itself extremely well, for example in the communities of Hohenlinden and Poing.

An advantage: In addition to a special signaling system, a special foil in eye-catching colors is also used for better recognition.

Local branch of the BRK has to pay 12,000 euros out of their own pocket;

and doesn't have the money

However, we are talking about an investment of around 50,000 euros, a large part of which is usually paid for by the district association through its supporting members.

In the municipality of Poing, a municipal subsidy of 10,000 euros was also granted last year.

However, the Swabian first responders cannot count on municipal money this year.

Mayor Michael Stolze recently had to inform the BRK with regret that the market community's hands were tied due to the still existing budgetary requirements in connection with stabilization aid that had been received for years.

So initially, minus the funds from the district association, there was a personal contribution of 12,000 euros, as the on-call manager Patrick Widfeld and Anneli Krackl, the BRK employee responsible for public relations, report.

Swabian entrepreneurs take over 3000 euros

The BRK members have meanwhile received a significant donation;

not least thanks to the mediation of the first mayor, as they say.

In the meantime, 3,000 euros have been made available from the Markt Schwaben business community.

In order to fully realize the project, the BRK willingness is still dependent on donations.

One reason why the BRK not only offered resuscitation training free of charge or against donations for everyone at the spring market last weekend, but also distributed leaflets to the market Swabian citizens with the subtle note that they currently still have a few thousand euros - nine, um to be precise – absent.

The BRK flyer concludes: "We are happy about every individual who makes a small contribution to the financing...
